Thanks to ED’s site, I learnt about an innovative and useful product: PhoneBak.

What is PhoneBak?

PhoneBAK is an innovative lost & found anti-theft software for PDA Phones and mobilephones that when stolen will send alert SMS, location and even contact number of the thief’s to any pre-defined contact numbers (e.g. spouse, colleague) globally!

No I am not paid by PhoneBak. I am going to buy it soon for my Samsung i600 because I believe it is an effective product. My opinion is based on my knowledge as an IT security engineer. Of course, I cannot figure out how the thief thinks and how you think. You can read and find out more for yourself.

Stumbled upon this interesting student project (ended in October 04) site. Hopefully it is productized by now. Nice to have one in office! Then again I might sleep through the office hours
