I was showering when I suddenly wondered if it is possible to “paste” a post-it note on any webpage. So while wasting Singapore’s precious fresh water, I was pondering over the implementational details of such an idea.
The idea that any user can easily add post-it notes on any webpage, not necessarily their own, would require some kind of DHTML overlay. Perhaps this hypothetical web-tool accepts a URL of your choice and presents a tool……blah blah blah..
After a few litres of water later, I stepped out and googled (in clothing of course). Guess what, someone did it…. here. (pls wait for a while before the notes start to appear)
Downloaded and tried NVU: *thumbs up*!
Always wanted to have a mind map on my site. So far I only know that Touchgraph is capable of showing a map like visualization in a browser. But I am not really a Java applet fan. So I did some more searching for flash based viewer… One word… COOOOool!

Encrypted thumb drive and autoplay howto
Posted by: Jym, in Freebies, Security, TechnologyI bought a real tiny (small enough to be with my coins) Sony thumb drive recently because I thought I’d lost my 1Gb thumbdrive. Somehow, I found the old one again. Anyway it came across my mind that if I were to keep sensitive document in it, it would be bummer if I really misplaced tiny devices.
Some thumbdrive comes with some default crypto software, not sure if they are really secure. So I decided to Google it and found this…. In simple English, the software allows you to create a virtual encrypted drive. Any files dumped into that drive is totally secured unless your password is “password”!
