No amount of planning, intelligence or preparation can we predict and evade nature’s strikes. Besides killing people, the recent Taiwan earthquakes brought Internet to its knees under the deep sea by snapping a few cables. How about the untiring rain clouds that have been flooding parts of our area? Who knows, one fine day the sun decides to blast out a few waves of electromagnetic pulses that would send satelites showering down our sphere and all electronics to fried toasts. Ok… too much plagiarized scenes from Hollywood movies but one can’t help to wonder if our fragile eco-system is indeed very sick thanks to man”kind” (how can we be kind when we did so much screwups?)
