Will there be support for $9 data cable?

Just ordered a CA-42 data cable for my nokia 6100. Apparently the driver is installed nicely with a virtual comm port shown on the device manager. Everything seems fine except that Nokia PC suite refuses to connect to the fone.

After tweaking with various baud rate, it still refuses to connect. Give up… I wrote to the seller from Yahoo! auctions and asked him why. I seriously doubt there will be technical support for a $9 cable.

      Not bad I must say for the fact that the cable is only $9bucks inclusive of postage.
